Dutch Love for Slijmzwam

As The Creeping Garden continues to make its way across the North American theatrical circuit, there’s some great news for European slime mould fans, with a series of Nederlands-ontertiteld screenings across Holland coming up in November and December.

inscience still

The film gets its official Dutch premier at the inaugural edition of the InScience Dutch International Science Film Festival, where we are delighted to announce that it will be screening as the opening night film on Wednesday 4 November 2015 at 8pm. There will be 3 further screenings at the Lux  on Thursday 5 November at 13:30pm and 19:00pm, with co-director Jasper Sharp in attendance, and on the Saturday morning at 11:30am on the 7 November, leading to a discussion on slime moulds by ‘Slijmzwamexpert Peter van Haastert’ of the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.

For those who can’t make it to the InScience events, we’re thrilled to announce that The Creeping Garden will be broadcast by the Dutch TV station NTR on Saturday, 7 November at 23.35 on NPO 2.

And this launch will commence a small number of screenings across the Netherlands, starting with the Filmhuis Alkmaar on 15 November, before heading to RKZbios, Groningen with showings on 12 & 14 December and Rotterdam’s legendary WORM.org – Instituut voor Avantgardistische Recreatie on the 16 December, with all of these screenings subtitled in Dutch.

We’re tremendously excited by these Dutch airings for The Creeping Garden. If there are any other venues in Holland that are interested in joining the fun, drop us a line at info@creepinggarden.com and we’d be delighted to organise more screenings!
